How To Beat Your Boss On Item Upgrading

World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 whenever you can.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback because it can make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it could waste lots of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. This item can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item, it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For instance they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Regardless,  Casesgg  must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
